Been fishing maki plastics for the last three years, and have my go-to baits pretty well narrowed down. I normally fish them on the clam XL drop jig. My only complaint is how easily they come off the hook, either entirely or just slide down the shank. I plan on using a drop of glue this year, and want to try the 1/32 oz moon eye jigs from VMC, with the wire keeper.
What are some of your favorite jigs and tricks to keep them on the hook?

My favorite jigs to use with Maki plastics include many of the Clam ones. The Drop Kick from last year was a killer when paired with the Jamei and Jamei XL and I used this combo about 90% of the time. The action it gave to plastics caught everything from bluegills to lakers. Others include the Ant Drop, Drop XL, and Drop itself. I've also used Ice Reapers and Tungsten Teardrops from 8 My Bait to good effect over the last few winters. Haven't yet mastered keeping the plastics in place, but I don't really have too much trouble with it either.
