Great article! I surprisingly hooked into several last year when fishing for gills, I thought it was strange finding them suspended but after reading your article it makes more sense now because we were in-between the lake inlet and spillway. Probably helped that i had a packed bait ball on a jigging spoon too!

Also, after our outing we found out the lake had been stocked in the past which helped explain why we were only reeling in 2 distinct sizes.

Thanks for the article, it always interesting to read about the less popular species and how to target them.
