I,v got the older clam platform i,m thinking about the K Dill do i now have to buy the new platform or is a fix coming for this

You can still use the original Clam Drill Plate with the K-Drill, but you will need an adapter. Vexilar makes one that works. If you go to the following page and select "Adapter for Clam Drill Plate" from the drop down menu you will see the item.

Matt - if I get the 8" K drill, and want to get the drill auger conversion kit - Would I need to get it with a gearbox? Or, is this gearbox only needed when we attach to a typical auger?
