Firehouse R-Tec Claw Tip Up

Anyone have any experience with these? I picked one up at Ice Fest in St, Cloud, just curious how they perform. I liked the fact they're self contained and compact, so you can just throw em in the tub of your portable and not have to worry about tangling.
