Convincing finicky fish into biting

Hi, I was wondering if anyone had some tips for convincing finicky crappies( especially big ones!) into biting.

It's worth trying different things when you know the crappies are there. One idea is to super downsize your presentation to a teeny, tiny jig on 1 lb. line, tied with a loop knot for natural flutter action when jigging.
