A good fish, the main thing is to do it all with enthusiasm. But I certainly did not catch such ones yet!

I caught one a few months ago but not as big as yours. It was also the time when I lost my filthy anglers fishing trucker hat. I need to buy another fishing hat for next month's fishing trip.

I like fishing especialy on winter seasion I learned this patience from my buddy who targets deep-water trophy pike and catches them more often than anyone I know. He drives to a sprung flag, shuts off his four-wheeler, and chats for a while. At first, I thought he was crazy, or that he’d become desensitized by all the big pike he’d landed, but then he explained himself. The longer he waits, the better the chance the pike has taken the bait (and his hook) deeply, and the better his chances of hooking the fish. With large bait, a pike sometimes grabs the tail or head, so that on its initial run the hook may not be inside the pike’s mouth. Waiting a few minutes, which often feels like an eternity, will allow the pike to take the large bait, run, and swallow.

This was memorable. Was out perch jigging and landed this on a tiny jig on 4 lb line unassisted in a six inch hole.

I did! A couple of years ago, I had a friend who was fishing with me. We were at the lake and he had a hole in his line, so he threw his hook into the water and started reeling it in. Then, all of a sudden, there was this fish swimming around on my fishing line. It was huge--a bass maybe? But it was so cute! It was like something out of Finding Nemo or something.
