Just moved back to Northern WI and can not wait to be on the hard water all winter. You guys rock with this Forum!!!

How much scouting are you guys doing for the upcoming hard water season?

Not in a hurry for ice. I have a few north/east sunny banks protected from winds still producing for panfish. I somehow managed to use only a fly rod for open water gills this year, but when it is windy sometimes i substitute a fly for an ice jig and plastics cause often panfish will hold them longer. This give me more time to pull in slack and set the hook if i am using a float.

Always use more fishin stuff
