SLUSH! Its baaaack

We started the year on lake Granby with poor ice and deep slush. A couple weeks into the season and with the help of numerous -20 temps all the slush froze up. We are getting more heavy wet snow and the slush is starting to show up again. My way of beating the slush is to travel light and move efficiently. How does every one else work through the slushy season?

I used to plod thru it, but now have a "smitty" sled. Lightened up the load. Worked well a few weeks ago when the mist was falling. Did not get out this weekend here. Heard there was plenty of water on top. If this keeps up, will have to look into a duck boat.........
