Hey guys, new to the forum. I'm playing around with using new line through the ice. Always been a mono guy. What do you guys like to use out there?

What type of fishing? I like Berkley Micro Ice or Suffix Ice Magic mono for pan fishing.

For pannies and most trout, I'm a fluorocarbon guy. I like to use 3 or 4 lb. Berkley Fluoro Ice. Invisible to the fish below, strong enough to handle larger fish, and few issues with memory. I spool up the entire reel with it. No leaders or backing. For the toothy fish ('eyes, pike, lakers), I use Berkley Fireline Ice in 8 lb. and tie on a 6 lb. fluoro leader.

I've been using Berkley Vanish for years without disappointment. I use the 2 lb for panfish and 6 lb for walleye and catfish.

Really like the Sufix Ice Magic in orange for the panfish, and I tie a 2 lb Vanish leader. For walleye I have 8 and 10 lb Trilene XL tied on. Limp enough for walleye spoons and jigs, and can buy in 1000 yd bulk spools.
