Where is everyone headed to find first ice and when?

I'll be fishing Clear Lake right off the boat ramp. Every year 1st ice we catch some huge Crappies that move into the shallows. CAN'T WAIT!!

Where ever I can get on early in NE So Dak! Low water levels up there this year hope we don't lose any to winterkill.

Out my front door on Lake Le Homme Dieu .... Last year first ice produced some nice Perch.

Bemidji area in northern Minnesota. Spending my first winter here and I am so incredibly excited to find some small lake slab crappies.
