Ice Team Pro, Bernie Keefe says on 2/12/18...

Here is your middle park fishing report for the week of 2-12-18.
Williams Fork Fishing Report , The ice is holding at 10-12” thick in most spots with some slushy areas spread out around the lake. Rainbows are being caught in shallow water (less than 15’) as they start to get into pre-spawn mode. Micro jigs tipped with salmon eggs or mealworms, small tubes, and jigging spoons will all have a good chance at fooling them. A few pike are also being caught in the shallows but the action for them is hit or miss. Lake trout action has been fair to good depending on the day. A tube jig tipped with sucker meat is the most popular option for catching lakers, but Leech flutter spoons, gulp minnows, and Jerk Shads are also producing a few fish. 40-80’ has been the most productive depth range this week but some fish have been caught as deep as 100’.
Lake Granby, The ice is 9-10" with some slush around the lake.Rainbows and browns are eating small bright colored jigs tipped with wax worms, salmon eggs or powerbait in less then 15' of water. Some kokanee are being caught near the deeper water, bright colored spoons tipped with wax worms or white shoe peg corn should entice a strike from these roaming fish. Lake trout fishing is very good the fish are eating tubes tipped with sucker meat, Leech flutter spoons and Gulp minnows along with various other jigs and bait. 40-80' seem to be the most popular depths out there.
Shadow mountain continues to produce rainbows, browns and kokanee, that bite is best very early in the morning or in the evenings. The spillway is producing brown trout on worms or small crank baits. The pump canal is fishing very well with small ice jigs tipped with wax worms under a bobber.
Grand Lake, The ic e is over 10" in most places be aware of the open water around the lake. Smaller lake trout are being caught on small jigs tipped with sucker meat. Rainbows and browns can be caught on small brightly colored jigs tipped with wax worms or powerbait.
