We were on a roll making good ice and way ahead of schedule. This recent stretch of warm weather is killing whatever progress we made. There is some thick ice, but cracks and pressure ridges have opened due to the warm temps an rain. AS we saw last year, those are what will kill us.

It's a good thing Winni has a ton of access points, so we can continue to get on fish. We just can't run and gun like usual.

The northeast corner of the lake has anywhere from 15" -8", depending on where you go. Most bays are frozen. The broads even locked up the night before the rain came. Hopefully we get a blast of cold air, because the water is cold and the lake is ready.
